no indicators part 2
for those of you who saw my last post i have a glowing indicator bulb on my dash, that dos'nt flash & no indicators,(83 gti 1800cc)bought a new relay today but that did'nt help, what the hell is going on !!! iv'e no idea

hav'nt try'ed pulling the wire of the stalk yet but the 4 way flasher does work as does everything else.

Sorry but I haven't seen your post 'part 1' but when I had exactly the same issue it was simply the fuse. Sounds stupid I know but I checked the fuse and it looked fine!
Only after I changed it regardless of how fine it looked did I have any success.

Pull the wire off light goes out could be stalks faulty , its a switch at the end of the day and the switch may be faulty .
Can't think of any other reason why they don't work , relay would have been a safe bet , but as you say you have changed it and 4 way work so …….. you have of course checked fuze 19 and have a handbrake light ? You did say every thing else was working .

See the post recently with the photographs of the rear of a hazard switch, I understand that the indicator wiring goes via the hazard awitch, so it would still be possible for the hazards to work and the indicator side to be wired wrong. I had the indicator light glowing problem, a new correctly wired hazard switch fixed mine.

Didn't see part 1 either but try this first mate, has worked for loads of people. Think it ends up being a dodgy hazzard switch, but this works fine in the meantime:

gingermatti you the maan!!! seems it is a dodgy hazard switch nice one,once again i have indicators.
