new looms???

just a quickie, as over the winter the cabbys off the road, to be fully shot blasted and repainted, engine will be comeing out too, to be rebuilt for next year,  and with working on the engine over the last few months have noticed the wireing loom, doesnt quite look how mr vw intended, been cut and joined a fair few times.

so was just woundering is there any companys or people out there that make new looms?? just to make sure i have all the wires in the rigth place and stuff when i come to stick it all back together next year, just the bit from the fuse box to the engine.

its only the 1.8 carb cabby, so not to many wires, but rather than doing it all myself, just wounderd if as always if there is an easyier way of doing the job??

If you live in the Aylesbury area I know an EXCELLENT auto electrician who will makea custom loom - all you then need to do is fit it!

fittings not an issue, wheres aylesbury??? im in lincolnshire, does he do mail order or anything??

Aylesbury is about 40 miles North of Watford on the A41 - not sure if they will do delivery as they are only a very small outfit - I think you would need to bring the car there as they would need to see it.....

thats abummer then because the cars already striped down ready to be shot blasted,

why not put a add up in wanted section? just state you want an un molested loom and it has to be perfect or you dont want it, sure someone out there will have one

Hi, i live in Oxford, not far. Do you Know roughly how much a loom is from this guy, the electrics in my golf are screwed so ive been after a new loom.
if you cud let us know wud be much appreciated.
