mk2 clocks into the mk1

hi all as you no i have had major trouble with my mk1 clocks so i spliced the loom and put my mk2 clocks in i now have the clock working fuel gauge revs and speedo but the oil light flashes and no temp gauge traced the yellow wire from the temp gauge and it just sits behing te fuseboard not connected to anything it needs to go oa a spade end can any one help please
