mk1 golf indicators

hi, i recently bought some fk crystal indicators which turned out to be the wrong ones, anyway, when i eventually came round to re-connecting the original indicator (passenger side) it wasnt workin, when i indicated left it js clicked quicker but wasnt lit an also the rear left indicator was flashin quicker, any ideas as to whats happened, coz all i did was remove the old unit an try to fit the s**t fk indicators, then fit the originals again, WOTS HAPPENED ????????

Sounds like you just need a new front bulb in the original indicator.

Which bumpers do you have?

js the normal driver bumpers ??

nevermind, it seems to of fixed itself ????? strange haha

sorry to ijack this thread but id thought itd be better than a new one. i get the same prob. rear indicator flashes twice as fast and the front nothing. thing is ive changed the bulb tried 2 different ones as well and no luck.

Any ideas as Im going through a real bad time at the moment.
its driving me mad.

could it be a fuse a relay or a bad connection.

Mines doing the same as yours mate.

Havnt looked yet but im sure its a fuse or relay.

its not a fuse or relay, its the bulb or a connection to the light unit.
