mk1 golf gti rev counter on a mk1 caddy KR conversion?

Will a mk1 golf speedo cluster and rev counter work ok on my mk1 caddy KR conversion? They redline a 7ish and the mk2 clock redlines at 8ish. So would there be anyway around this like changing the back plate? Cheers Tom

I run mk1 clocks on my mk1 16v and you just have to remember that the redline is higher.  you can take the back plates off and make some new ones up but tbh I just live with it for now.  Mabie somthing to worry about once mines almost complete

sounds like a plan i don't like the idea of mk2 clocks!
