Mk1 16v Conversion Sensor Wiring

Hi Guys - im new to this forum but have spent the last 3 hours looking for an answer to a problem thats been bugging me for months. I have recently got my 9A powered mk1 running after being stripped down to do the conversion 6 years ago!!!
I finally got it running but cannot get the temp gauge to work. I have used a standard mk1 gti sensor loom and made my own ecu/tci etc loom with vac advance. I'm also running on 40mm Dell'ortos. What connectors run what gauges i have the oil pressure light working and just about everything else.

At best i had the temp gauge rise to top of the gauge then drop gradually back down again but thats it. There are other gremlins too but il start with this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.
