mfa switch, i think???

on my golf i have 2 little bottons on 1 switch at the side of the radio underneath the heated rear window switch. is this the switch that adjusts the mfa clock thing? because i cant select any functions on the mfa and when i checked this switch has a 2 core wire running from it but isnt connected to anything.

anyone know where this is meant to run to? had a quick look but couldnt really see anywhere where it could go.

if anyone could shed any light on this it would be great.
