mfa stoped working

Ive just jump started my golf mk1 gti and when attempting to turn it over the mfa started going crazy, now the car is running the mfa is not working anymore! has anyone else had such a problem? if so could you let me know what happened and how to resolve it.

disconnect the battery for a few mins , should reset it .
