MFA Outside Temp problem

Hi all, my MFA seems to be fully functional with the exception of the external temerature which reads far too high (44 degrees?!).

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Not to hot on MFAs ( ) but..

Try putting the sensor in some different known temp water (not boiling, as may kill it) and measuring some resistances against spec (anything in Haynes chaps?). Then you know if it is the sensor or not.

You can test also by measuring the resistance across the temp unit and the blow on the end or rub it to warm up and see if you get change in resistance or not. If not, it's knackered.
