mfa issues (--.--)

Hi all,

Just bought a 91 mk1 cabrio and very pleased with it except the mfa has stopped working already!

The oil temp display always displayed – and the outside temp always seemed a little high but I didnt really mind that. The issue I have is that I reset the values once and the mpg rating was hovering around 12mpg so I reset it again after a while and now the all the displays are displaying –.– with the exception of time travelled.

I been looking through this forum and there is a lot of information about various issues with the mfa but I could not find anything which might relate to this issue. Anyone got any ideas?

Can i ask how you reset it ? Best method is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes and try again . Its an old system that relies on lots of factors but some times a good reset does the trick .
