lighting problems +

:banghead: Hi guys im in need of some help please,

I've just finished doing a 2.0 conversion on my 89 gti cabrio i also had welding done to front panel and clutch hole in bulkhead and front panel/slam panel painted.

After it was all done the car started no problem and runs super, but my right headlight is on main beam all the time even when the fuse is removed, also no front or side indicators, washer pump works when indicator switched left, horn makes a noise in fuse box, no front lights, hazards only work rear indicators but the front side lights flash aswell, i think thats about it LOL :banghead:

I've checked the wiring close to where the welding was done and it all apears fine, im thinking this may be a earthing problem but don't know where to start, the earth strap to gearbox is connected. Do the head lights earth through the holding screws as there is new paint on there which may be stopping it earthing?

Thanks Steve

I've cleaned up all the earths today, removed fuse box and checked all connections put it back together and hey presto indicators, lights and washer pump are now working as they should, the horn still isn't working it just makes a clicking noise in the relay, and my rear fogs not working but this may just be the bulb as i havn't checked it yet.
