LEFT DRIVERS LIGHT COMES ON AUTOMATICALLY.. WHY??

can you help…
my left hand front and back drivers light comes on by itself and we dont know why this would be…. i definately didnt leave an indicator on! any ideas??
i wonder if it is something to do with my rediculous alarm that speaks to me ( i didnt fit this) and wondered if it was a drain on the battery and the light coming on was an indication of a low battery?
i have a mk1 golf cabrio 1984..

hmm yes id be leaning towards an alarm issue, but usually it will be spliced direct to indicator loom not sidelights. maybe the parking light system has gone funny, pull the ignition switch off and see if that makes it stop. if it does then yeah id say parkign lights, the grey wire p is only live with ignition off. you could pop this out the plug or cut it, but id be inclined to try to fix it. id say if it is parkign lights then issue is with the stalks
