j59 relay

i have a 1991 sportline cabriolet.

I have lost power to the wipers, fan blower, heated rear screen, etc…all these items are controlled from the same supply on the X rail. The supply to the x rail is controlled through the j59 relay…. but where the bloody hell is this relay… its not in the fuse/relay box in the passenger footwell   unless i cant see it….can anybody with their vast experience tell me where this relay is….please please….

as ive got something similar!!! only im gettim 3volts out?? so it must be resistance in this X relay or the fuse box   :dontknow:

Where are you measuring 3 volts..?  The fault on mine has turned out to be one of the poles on the ignition switch, namely the one that puts a supply to J59  relay. So if you tell me some more details i might be able to help.

im get 3volts comin of the terminal on the back of the fues box that suppies the fan switch    :?

well if you had a problem with J59 Relay you would have a problem with wipers heated rear screen, main lights, etc  these are all supplied when j59 is energised.

is that the case..?
