ISV + WUR wiring for dummies (me)

The ISV in a MK1 gti has 2 wires and the warm up reg has 2 wires, is it a case of ignition positive and negative for the both?

Could someone please advise me of the correct way 8O

warm up reg has 2 wires

The voltage supply to the regulator is from the fuel pump relay, because if the ignition was on without the engine running, all enrichment would be removed as the bi-metalic strip would be heated prematurely and the driver would not benefit from the cold engine enrichment . See…..

An ISV is different to an auxiliary air valve. On a mk1 kjet setup the ISV is bolted to the passenger side suspension turret (where fitted, normailly only on later Cabrios) and the Aux air valve is mounted on the back of the inlet manifold.

I'm not sure how a mk2 engine is set up but I'm sure its similar. The digifant setup has an ISV but its larger and cylindrical in shape.

Not sure how they are wired.

Cheers,

Ross
