ISO harness CD adapter,

I bought an ISO harness thingy adapter from motorworld the other day to fit my Sony adapter for the CD player the adapter said it would fit all vw's up to 1998 I got home and it did not fit, this is the current end fitted



Does anyone know were I can get the write one for a good price? Cheers James

Mk1 golfs did not come with a loom plug as none left the factory with radios.  So I expect the one you have was fitted after manufacture. Most radios were fitted at the dealer.  You basically need to get an ISO plug and graft it in providing power etc.

There is tabs on the back of the fuse box for perment live, switched live and earth rossettes to the right of the fuse box.

Hi,

Yes - Thats the ISO head unit side I think - The car side is the female part.

You can get converters for most head units and some come with ISO as standard.

now, is this on the early or later fusebox?  :lol: there's a couple of gadget's I'm planning on possibly fitting in the future and that would be very handy instead of plumming into something else

not sure on early fuse boxes - certainly series 2 has these
