Indicators

After removing my clocks to try and fix my rev counter i now have the green indicator light on the dash on dull when the ignition is switched on. The MFA display has also gone mad.

When i try to indicate either left or right the green light comes on solid and also brighter but the indicators on the outside of the car don't work.

If i use the Hazzard warning lights all of the outside lights flash and the green dash light flashes as it should

Managed to fix the indicators by replacing fuse 19 but my MFA is still only showing little bits instead of full numbers  :(

hi regarding your indicators its your hazzard switch check the wiring on that ,your mfa might jump back into life if you take of your battery negative wire then keep trying putting it back on and off,get someone to sit in car to keep an eye on the clock,it should work i had exactly the same problem

if it has the later fusebox there are 2 fuses for the indicators, #4 and #19. if they're ok hazard switch most likely the problem

the dash earths to the cylinder head, its one of the brown/white wires. this wire runs from the dash brown/white wire to a spade connector behind the fusebox, then from there to the head :)

top man i think the wires are the wrong way round in the engine bay some one has
been messing with it and its a right mess, ive put that earth wire on the
oil pressure switch on the side of the head and the oil wire to earth,to the rocker cover.
That would deffo explain my dodgey indicators and oil light coming on and going off lol

Will swop them round monday
