indicators stopped working

  ive got a golf match and the indicators have stopped working? the relay box is ok and all the fuses are fine! there doesnt seem to be any power getting to them? even the hazzards dont work. please can some one help me ? Thanks.

Have you swopped the relay ?

hi yes i got the relay checked and it was working ok, but i still brought a new one just in case.... still no joy...?

Could be the fuseboard  

Remove the plastic steering cowl (two small screws) and check that the electrical plugs are pushed up into position, sometimes the plug moves back a little which will make the indicators stop working.

I have just had a look at a wiring diagram and agree you need to start at the fuze box . Fuzes 19 and 4 , 19 also does the brake warning light does that work ?

The only common factor is that power goes to the hazard switch FIRST so replacing / checking this should be you next move .

when you say brake warning light do you mean the red light at the back? one keeps cutting out and i have to bang the side of the car to make it work..... could this have anything to do with it??

No i mean the handbrake warning light on the dash , shares the same fuze .
