indicators blowing fuses

OK have fitted another engine in my golf gti. it is running 16v on carbs so cut all the injection wiring off the vehicle.

Anyway have got a set of led indicators and am trying to fit a resistor to slow the flashing down.

ok now the problem. I am blowing fuse 19 as soon as the ignition is switched on. I have the hazard switch in place and the hazards work fine.
but I don't understand whats going on. Would the fact I don't have the clocks in make a difference.

Thanks

Gary

Disconnect the led indicators replace the fuze , does it blow ?

No led indicators at fault .

Clocks not fitted should not make a difference .

Ok fixed it had a dumb blonde moment. the live feed from the hazard switch the blue/black wire was not connected and shorting on the dash simple fix.
