Indicator pain!!!

Well, today, I replaced my dash bulbs as some were not working. After replacing all the bulbs, replaced the dash and heater controlls, I noticed the indicator light was slighlty illuminated?? When I then tried the indicator, the light got brighter, but was costant with no flashing indicator bulb??
Hazards work, and checked some fuses. Unfortunately. I lost the light and had to give in

Has anyone else had this problem, or am I missing something completely obvious :redfaced:

Sounds like a short some where, most likely when you were changing bulbs you have moved a wire associated with the indicators. try and trace back the indicator wiring untill you find the fault. Someone on here will prob be able to tell you which wires go where to make it easier.

I had the same problem when I changed all my dash bulbs, I'd let a loose cable from the hazard switch short and when I put everything back together I had a glowing indicator led on the dash, working hazards and no indicators!

In my case it turned out to be a fuse, the one for the indicators - I can't remember which one it was though :banghead:

Hopefully the omnipotent rubjonny will see this and be able to tell you which fuse I mean!

Ah brilliant!! I did have the same, a stray wire I wasnt watching and it did short. I have had a brief look but will do properly again.
I found a fuse box layout online in English which helped, as all of mine are written in German :redfaced:

Hopefully thats all it is, as I am currently using the car daily due to Impreza being rebuilt  :(

Sorted yipee.
It appears I did blow the fuse, although I changed it, I must of popped it again. Swapped it for a new one and all is well again  :D
Loving working on the old girl, so simple
