Incredibly exciting... what windscreen washer pump

Right, my pump doesn't seem to be working as it doesn't make a noise or pump any fluids SO i need to replace it I think… Only issue (again) is that my car is a Citi golf? Which pump would i need, just a standard mk1 pump be okay? I went to local VW dealer and they said that they could get me one in for £37!!!  8O
GSF have them for £7 but not sure which i'll need - any help much appreciated!

Check the actual switch in the stalk as well, that might have broken rather than the pump

Take the bottle out of the car, stick a couple of wires on the pump terminals and connect it to a battery. This will tell you if its the pump or stalk switch. If its the pump then why not just remove it and take it into GSF and compare it. Its no chore for them to send an incorrect part back. The pump will most likely be used on other VW models as well. Is there a label on it with a part number on?

Hey guys - problem solved. Drove to GSF today, asked for a mk1 pump, popped it in and "buzzzzz" bingo - all working!
