Immobilizers

hi guys.got this crazy idea to fit a 3 cyl diesel into my cabby. have just got a damaged polo with no keys for all the bits. the question is can the immobilizer be removed or is it easier to get keys sorted before i strip car

i dont know if the mk1 rev counter can be made to work, but if you went with the polo clockas all you would need is a new chip from ebay and you can get this coded to the clocks with vag-tacho. alternatively if you can find a set of polo diesel clocks with a matched key you can code them to the ecu with vag-com
