for mk4 -> mk1/2/3 its 120, but my waiting list is backed up till around december time! the trouble is what fusebox do you have? if its the early ceramic fusebox i strongly advise that you replace the lot with either later mk1 blade type or mk2/3 CE2

Its a later mk1 so I am almost positive its the blade type. Ok the price is fine with me, as its a december backlog I may look at this myself first as I do have the wiring diagrams and love a challenge. HAve you got a proper kit to remove the OEM pins from plugs or a homebrew set?

Thanks mate,

I took the old loom out last night, only 2 plugs on the fusebox!! Perfect!

Gonna remove all of the stuff I dont need and then start splicing in the new loom.

On the plus side also is the fact i had another look at the key for the TDI engine i have. The transponder was in it after all!! It was the LED that was missing!

So hopefully i have everything I need.

Is there a guide or anything on mk3 to mk1 loom conversion?

Cheers

if you have the early fusebox id recommend you replace it with later ce1 type, then you can use these:
http://www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=100988
http://www.clubgti.com/showthread.php?249714

the early fusebox is poor and cant even cope with k-jet let alone anything more complex unfortunately! the main problem apart from the fuel pump pin burning out is you have no feeds for anything, so you end up having to put jumpers everywhere
