Have you tried sounding the horn while the steering wheel is slightly off centre?

My copper ring is slighty worn ( ) and the small 'tag connetor' doesn't make contact when it 'dead ahead' but take it slightly off centre and its fine.

I now set my steering wheel just off centre. It used to annoy the hell out of my OCD but I've learnt to live with it now!!!!

Have you also tried wiring the horn direct from the battery to make sure that they do in fact work??

My advice mate… take it to an auto electricians if you cant fix it. Give them a few quid and do it right.

If you start adding new buttons to the dash where will it all end…. only one place, a wiring disaster.

Do it once, do it right. Go to a professional if you can't do it.

The MOT station may even be able to sort it for you to get it through.  :dontknow:
