Horn & Turn signals not working

Hello fellow MK1 owners.  Have just become a member so excuss me if this issue has been posted before.

Having purchased my MK1 GTI campaign 1983 only a month ago, the twin horn and front indicators (the side turn signals on the front bumper) have stoped working.   

I can hear the relay switching when pressing the horn botton and have checked the fuses for both horn and turn signals, both are ok.  I even disconnected one of the horns and tested visa versa.  As for the indicators, the dash indicator light flashes fast which from history means that a bulb has possibly blown, neither of the front one's work and I have changed both bulbs !!!!    :dontknow:
