hmm stereo on... turn heater on, stereo off.???

right then ppl,
someone has wired the stereo and the heaters up to a seperet switch as i think something happend to the switched live for them both,

you turn the stereo on and when you decide your a tad chilly you put the heater on, thats what i do, but when i turn my heaters on the stereo goes off and the heater dont work. i think its shorted out somewhere or something, am i right?
any thoughts

Trace the wires from the radio , poz and neg only , remove them , then use a different live and earth for the radio  . Ciggy lighter has poz and neg you could use? , that may cure the problem .

Perhaps some one has tapped in to the heater feed and this is causing the problem

I would take a 12V source direct from the fusebox with an in line 10A fuse and reconnect the heater wiring.

thanks people, it is damn damn cold with out the heater, have to ride with the windows down to stop it steaming up lol, will get this lookd at this wkend, so will let you know how i get on, many thanks peopl,

and once again i will say this, this is a awsome sight! top people offering top support!! KEEP IT UP!!
