High Beam LED working in reverse

Hi guys, i've had a search on here and clubgti and can't find anyone whose had this problem before.  On my 1.6d Caddy, my high beam LED illuminates when on low beam lights and is extinguished when on high beam.  Before I start tearing it all apart, has anyone had this before or any idea where might be the best place to start looking?

Have a look at the fuses and their functions. Pull out the main beam ones. If it still lights the main beam but now doesn't light the dipped beam in the bulb, it suggests that someone's muddled up the connections to the headlamp bulb - so swap around the relevant wires (white and yellow I think - check on a wiring diagram though!).

Sorted, thanks for your tips guys.  Weirdly I think it's down to a set of bulbs.  I had a look at the originals which were golf ball shaped, i've never seen any like it before, put in a set of conventional h4's and the problem has gone!
