My aerial is routed via the bulkhead on the left near the rain tray drain.  Inside the car it enters behind the fuse box and goes under the dash to the radio.

No sure where you can get switched 12v but I would start with the fuse box sticky for clues.

The closest place for a switched +ve will be the feed to the fan switch. Should work ok as you are only sensing power and therefore would put any extra load on the fan wiring.

Same as above. Through bulkhead behind fusebox and in behind the dash.

Took my feed from the rear of the fusebox.

Some spare spade terminals on there. Check them with a test light.

Yes mate the aerial goes through the left hand side, the only issue is it is double skinned so when you feed it through from the engine bay it may dissappear between the skins. Before removing the old coax tape a wire on the end so you can use it as a pull through.
Deffo take a ign feed from the fusebox

Forgot to mention the hole in the bulkhead and the hole in behind the dash are not in line.
The hole on the dash side is to the right of the glove box, so from the engine bay the coax goes through and turns left towards the centre of the car. Hope that makes sense 8O
If you really need to pop the dash off or take it out, while you are in there you can have a good clean up and remove any dead wire  :D

Here's one I did earlier

See in the picture the three round holes in the metal, the right hand one is where it comes through. With the dash in the glovebox is right up against those holes so its quite tight. If you where in the Somerset area i could do it for you :D

Havin said all that you could cheat and get a coax extension and bring it through the grommet of the wiring harness behind the fuse box and then upto the headunit :D
