 new to this well joined today going to buy a golf this week or next

got a few questions well one mostly how reliable are the power folding roofs is it worth going for or something to stay away from ?~

i have the manual hood on mine, its simple and only takes a few seconds to raise / lower, just depends on how lazy you are lol

I have a non standard pump on my cab, but I've never had it wired up, its just as easy to get out and pull the roof down.

the only thing that really goes on them is the impeller on the pump, iirc there is a repair kit available for it somewhere though.

if looking for a cabby i would concentrate on the condition of the car and the hood skin, rather than if it has an electric hood or not. that would be right down at the bottom of my list of priorities!

as above manual hood is way faster to put up/down, though maybe not as cool
