Heater fan - help!!

All,
My fan only worked on posn 3, and the suggested cure for this is to replace the resistor pack.

Did this, but still only position 3 works, the only difference is that resistor now gets 'hot' when positions 1 or 2 are selected.

Changed the switch on the dash and tried again - same thing - no joy in posn 1 or 2, posn 3 works OK!!

Any help much appreciated

You can take the switch apart and have a look inside, sometimes they've been fiddled with. I fixed mine by replacing the switch
