Heater blower removal - dash or engine bay?

Just wondered if any more people have done this since the thread below. It seems a bit 50/50 which way i go about it.

Engine bay every time.. can't see why you'd do it any other way…

Without a doubt the engine bay! I was a non believer and thought had to go via the dash - it's fiddly but can be done - PM if you need advice

its a new ?30 non VAG blower but it does the job!

yeah, im not going to say it was a doddle but definately an option if your dash is heavy on the wiring side like mine!
