Heater and Washer Problem

The weather turns bad and guess what my heater and my washers pack up!

The washer pump is turning and there is water but nothing coming from the jets (they are heated and unblocked)

The heater fan blew the 20 amp fuse this morning and I have replaced the fuse and the volt gauge dropped by three volts and blew the fuse again.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I cant see where I am going and I am freezing!

Thanks

G

If your heater fan is drawing enough current to blow a 20 amp fuse, if must be seized, or short cct. Try (with it switched off!!) spinning it through the grill. It should be free to spin.

try using your washers on intermittant or slow/fast wipe - mine stopped working, was still turning but contacts in switch were dirty - too much resistance there meant the pump was getting some power but not enough to squirt - put it on intermittant and swith uses a diferent bit of contact and gave it enough juice to squirt out!

I tried the switch in all positions. I have removed the pump and its turning but not sure its sucking. I have ordered one from GSF as its only short change. Will see what happens.
