Heated seats
I have seen aftermarket kits on ebay that look to be good quality and I've also seen a build thread on Edition 38 with a kit fitted into Edition 1 G60 Recaro's.
Can anyone with a Rivage with heated seats post up a picture of the switch/controls. The aftermarket kits switches look fairly OE, but I'd like to see what VW supplied and where they located the switch as standard before going aftermarket.
I think it will be a nice addition to the car, allowing it to be used with the top down on these cold yet sunny days we have been having recently. My main worry is wrecking my seats!
Has anyone else considered or done this?

One seller had a few kits a couple of weeks back with carbon heaters and occupancy sensors but seller dissappeared after a few weeks, which is normally a bad sign.

I know what you mean about the seat material neo, mine are in good condition but I've only experienced heated seats when they are leather (usually freezing on a morning!) and don't want to ruin the seat fabric. I'd be gutted if I fitted the kits, switched them on and melted the seat!
Here's the thread I keep looking back to on Edition 38:
Recaro seat strip down
Has anyone stripped down a fabric Rivage seat? Do they have a thin foam layer between the heater element and the seat cloth?

the pads are pretty easy to repair, bit of solder and some wire does the trick usually

It lives under the carpet within the frame in a bit of sponge under the seat as in the diagram above.. This is the cause of my passenger seat not working. my passenger side used to leak badly from the cabby handles and through the bulk head
found this link about heated seats which I think is useful, but I havent checked the wire colours match.
