Golf Clipper hood wiring diagram

I work for Practical Classics magazine. One of our readers needs some help finding a wiring diagram for his 1990 Golf Clipper's electric hood. Can anyone out there help?

Ok so looking at this diagram my fuse box is not the same as the one on this diagram.. either the fusebox has been changed or i am looking too much into this..

do you have the early ceramic fusebox?

im not sure what the exact naming of it is but its the one with 12 relay slot but only 6 are used if you look at the tutorial on the fuse box its one in the pictures.

thats the later fusebox then, diagrams should match up fine unless someone has bodged your roof loom in

Haha don't even go there…. I think the car wiring has been ruined… got a few bits to go then the wiring is complete that guide was awesome a bit help but the electric hood wiring is a challenge

Ok!

1. the 42 relay is in the wrong spot, it should be in that relay holder above the fusebox. its the later blade fusebox so the guides in the sticky for this fusebox apply the ones near the top. or check out my full fusebox faq:

2. the grey/yellow wire is from B/20 and is for front fogs, if you dont have them then dont worry. its used to connect the fog light switch with power from the fog light relay, if you dont have front fogs there is no relay and this wire isnt used the switch gets power from elsewhere

3. C/18 red/black wire which is starter live for 5th injector thermoswitch, should plug into a red/black wire spade on the engine loom, see 4

4. green/white is extra 5th injector power feed, unused on uk models. black/red is starter live for 5th injector thermo switch, goes to plug 3

5. thats the tci unit or the spark controller, what do you mean by the green/red?

6. thats the hall sender which tells the tci unit when to fire the coil
