fuses

hi,
hopefully just a quick 1. im shite at electrics so hope you can help.
drivin me car 2 day. indicators stoped working. fuse 7 blown. as i tryed to change the fuse the new one started sparking and shorting out. i burnt my finger putting it in,lol. the indicators and ignition was off at the time. everything was working fine befor any tips?
