Fusebox

Ok, I'm going insane here trying to sort out my non-functioning starter motor.  Can anyone please tell me how to actually get at my fusebox to check this???  I don't want to remove the whole dash but I've had a good look at the fusebox and there's no way I can access the fuses.  Aarrgh!

I can see that it's hooked on to the metal bracket, but I don't want to force it off that.

cheers

Starter is fired from the ignition switch on cranking .

You turn the key and 12v is sent to the starter solenoid via a small Black wire at the top of it . When it receives this signal it throws a switch and operates the starter , turning the engine over . That's why your starter is connected to the battery via large cables .

If you are not getting the starter to work , is battery flat , are dirty connections at battery / starter  causing problem , is ignition switch faulty ? Is starter faulty ?

Don't think this is fuze related

Thanks for the reply Chudd - yep, it was a flat battery.  Should have tried jump starting it first thing, but the multimeter was showing 11 volts at the starter and I thought this was ok.  Lesson learned - try the simple fixes first!
