Fuse Board

I have recently replaced a relay switch and now there is a almighty machine gun style ticking coming from my fuse box when I'm driving with my lights on.  It also goes crazy when the car is in fifth gear - presumably when the MPG indicator kicks in.

Any ideas what is causing this?  Is it just a case of running through and replacing the relays one by one? :dontknow:

Yeah Chudd already done that.

The problem comes into play when one of the relays thats eraticly ticking is brand new.  The other doesnt look that old either.

Does anyone know if these have specific reasons why they make this sound?

Oh i see  :D

Clicking is the relay trying to close then opening again etc etc . It may be the wrong relay [not man enough] switching on and off continually or the accesory your are running having a poor earth . Start with why you changed it  :dontknow: Then start with simple things like bad earths and the reason why it failed to find the cure . Have you put bigger bulbs in or replaced bits ?

Post back so we can see how you get on ……..
