full beam problem

hi I was wondering if anyone could help! I am not good with electrics ! my nearside fullbeam wont go on! its not an earth because I tried earthing it and it made no difference ! I put a wire straight from the full beam terminal on the bulb to the batt and it works!! could the problem be a relay!? also when the ignition is on and you mput the nearside indicator on the fuel pump goes on and off! I don't know if this is related! car runs fine and the indicators work!! any help would be much appreciated! thanks!

With the latter issue of fuel pump/indicator, I'd say it's still an earth issue, although obviously not the earth of the headlight itself.

It would be checking the main earths that can be a pain, like the one on back of the rocker cover, steering rack etc

for the main bema check the fuse, theres 1 per side
