Fuel pump stopped working

I have been away for 2 weeks got back to my mk 1 golf gti and the battery was dead so i thought fair enough charged the battery fully up and then went to try, i turn it over and nothing, i normal hear the fuel pump buzzing but nothing.. strange as the car has'nt moved

hmmm that is odd.. mine stopped priming when the battery was dead.

Have you tried the fuse/relay if there is one?

well its been working fine then i parked it up for 2 weeks came back battery flat then did'nt work, i will check all the obvious things 2night.. humm  

Check relay - unusual for a pump just to stop - they normally get noisier then die!

yeh will check it anyone know the number colour or location i know its in the glove box but which one to check, same me some time  :mrgreen:

tried a straight live and earth to each side of the pump itself and to no joy whats so ever… a new pump it it.. did'nt even twitch!!!
