Fuel Pump relay

hi there i want to run a fuel pump relay through my fusebox
it was a 1.1 so it had a manual pump before
what i know so far is that i need to use relay position 2, which goes through fuse position 5 / 15a
and i need wire e14, which i dont have, so when i put a connecter to e14, what wire connects to that ?
also what other wires do i need to connect to what ?

cheers

ok! you have a couple options here. you can run the g60 ecu fuel pump trigger wire to d/13, then you can use a digi mk2/16v or any mk3 petrol 67, 80 or 167 relay. the other option is find a k-jet relay without a rev limiter, that'll work as per std mk1 gti.

then for the output yes it goes to e/14, you might want to put 2 wires from this 1 running to a male spade the other goes off to your fuel pump. the reason for the 2nd spade is for the g60 ecu loom, you need a fuel pump feed for the injectors and lambda heater. factory ce1 fusebox gets this using a spade plugged into e/14.

then its just a case of run an earth to the fuel pump back to the claw above the fusebox, then you're done!

polevolt does the pins if you have a good crimping tool, otherwise hack up some spare ce1 fusebox plugs

ahh nice one mate :)
the problem i have is that i am getting absolutely nothing at the fuel wire from the g60 ecu (pin 3, red/yellow)
not power or no switched earth which i find strange,
but i do have all the wires ready to go all crimped up with nice new draper crimping kit :)
fuel pumps all plumed in, already have the injector / lambda /pump wires joined and connected to e/14
and i have relay 80 ready to plug in

i dont have anythign for relay 63, can you get me a part number off it?

if pin 3 isnt switching to earth then either the ecu isnt powering up or its dead :(

VAG VW Audi Skoda Relay No 63 Fuel Pump Relay - Part No 321 906 059F
im pretty sure the one with a built in rev limit is relay number 62

the ecu is firing up alright, cranks over and everything else seems ok
just nothing at all out of pin 3 for the fuel :(

perfect thanks. this one only needs a rev counter signal to work so you dont need pin 3 from the ecu with this relay. if you want you can swap #18 relay into the pump socket and that will make the pump come on with the ignition. its not safe, but it will rule out any fuel pump control issues
