my car just cut out on me a couple of weeks ago and would not start again. it turns over but no noise from fuel pump.
after looking on forum messeges good news i bridged the fuel pump relay slot and could hear the pump come on.
then took three relays to have them checked at a auto electrics centre they said they seem fine.
but when they are in the car the pump does not come on any help would great. :banghead:

Hi

Get your self a multimeter connect the two leads to the fuel pump wiring under the screwed down cover under the boot carpet under the rear seat. Check you have a feed to the pump with it connected expect 9 to 10 volts whilst cranking if so try very carefully tapping with a hammer the top of the fuel pump whilst somone is cranking this somtimes starts the pump running. Be very carefull how you hit it!!  Dont break it!!

so when i bridge the relay the pump under the car comes on i now this is not faulty. the breakdown guy but his meter on the lift pump wiring which showed the was enough volts going there. then he sprayed some start up which the car kicked in but still said no fuel getting through.
