Fuel pump relay

Hi,
I replace the fuel pump on my car and did the relay too.
It would not start at all. I found that the earth to the fuel pump relay was bad, so i tagged it off to a good earth near the footwell.

The car runs, but is there anythig else that relies on that earth?

anybody have a good wiring digram for a 1982 1.6 GTi?

Should be one in a Haynes or Bently.

Good idea to have one of those manuals if you plan to keep your car.

I haven't seen anyone host a wiring diag for MKI's on net as yet.
