fuel pump again
I'm hving trouble with my fuel pump and i hope you can help.
The fuel pump will not turn on unless i bridge a piece of wire where the relay should be.
I've got a new fuel pump fitted, ive tried new relays, new dash loom, it has a new fuse box, new ignition switch and there is no brakes in the wires.
Can anyone help?
Cheers.

The little dinky one is the one that comes from the coil to trigger it, it is same pulse as rev counter needs, if you fit a normal headlamp relay in where the fuel pump relay is then you will be able to narrow the fault down one more step as with the standard 4 pin relay it should come on with the ignition circuit, my first guess would be faulty relay as they are a common failure but as you say you have checked it then there can only be the trigger circuit which is most likely a broken wire at the coil HTH!

How many pins should be on a fuel pump relay and what number is it?
I've got loads of relays and i've tried them all but the main one i use is the relay with number 2 written on it and there are only 5 pins. The fuse box has more holes thank the relay
