Flickering oil light?

Hi, I have a Seat 2L block with an mk2 gti head running k-jet.
My oil light has just started to flicker especially at high revs. It?s just a flickering
And stops once you ease up.
There is a mechanical oil gauge reading from the cylinder head which reads a steady 25psi at tick over and 50psi when driving so I?m not worried about oil pressure at the head.
On the oil cooler there are 3 senders?
1 - to wur
2 - Oil temp
3 - Oil pressure at block; is this a high or low sensor?

I have noticed that when accelerating; as the light flickers, my oil temperature gauge is bouncing all over the place, but when the light stops flickering at steady revs it's steady, so I presume this is an electrical problem. As I rev the engine the alternator's kicking out more juice and this is somehow affecting my oil light and temp gauge.
What should I check first? If I need to check the earths could someone be specific about which earths to check and where they are located please?

Change both the low and high pressure senders . If it flickers the temp you may have the wrong sender fitted ? Are you using the correct oil for the engine ?

Located on the cylinder head and oil filter/ block body , ask at you local GSF .

Hi, Thanks for your reply. But this is a new problem, everything has always worked fine until the other day.
Oil is titan xtr 10-40, changed around 4000 miles ago and due to be changed again this week.
There is only the high pressure sender on the oil filter housing. The low oil pressure sender on the head is connected to the VDO mechanical oil pressure gauge.
Because both the oil light and oil temp gauge are flickering or bouncing when the engine is on i think its more likely to be something else other than the senders?
Although (maybe) if the oil pressure sender was earthing through the filter housing that could effect the oil temp sender?

The oil temp gauge is bouncing and overreading more until i switch the engine off. Then is is sometime jumping straight to the max point it can reach until i turn the ingnition on, with the ignition on it reads correctly (my usual engine temp) again at around 90 - 100 deg depending on how hot the engine is.
