fitting speakers

i wonder if anyone can help me here. im an absolute beginner when it comes to cars (can strip and rebuild mountain bikes no bother….) and im trying to fit new speakers in my '90 cabby.
i need to remove the door cards and trim in the rear to do so and am having a bit of bother working it out. i realise that this is more than likely a pretty easy task but i cant figure out how!
any help would be greatly appreciated (please bear in mind i am a total beginner!)

thanks.

To get to the speakers you need to,

1. Remove the rear seat base. It's held in with 2 screws to the metal underneath. Take it out of the car.

2. Remove the square plasti. Seatbelt covers by pulling them slighty. There is a black 'plug' that fills a hole - if it's not been lost, be careful you don't lose it! Slide the cover upwards.

3. Pull the rubber door seal away from the rear panel.

4. Find a wide flat screw driver and use it to pop the retaining fixing off - I think there are some, or the panel simply slips into guides or both!!!

5. Find ancient 4x4 speakers. If they haven't been messed with before you should find that the wires don't allow propper balance control as they are joined together. The block that they go to, in mine, was situated at the bottom of the A pillar by the bottom drivers door hinge.

Hope that helps a little.

Don't forget the window winder, if it's a standard one you remove this by easing the pivot end off completely with a blunt tool and twisting it around so that you expose the screw.
