Few niggly bits after buying my first mk1 golf

Hi guys and girls,

Just bought off ebay a Mk1 Golf gti,
Its been resprayed and had alot of work done to it and seems a good car just a few things that i want to get sorted and iv got a little list of things if anyone can shed a little light on how to sort them;

-Drivers window just dropped down when i closed the door(comical) after getting the door card of iv realised that its only held at one point near to the middle of the glass, surely this isnt standard?i can only think that when it had central locking fitted the gubbings where fowling the support for the glass?and its just been removed, has anyone had any issues with this before?i recon i could just fit a longer support for it but i wonder if there were any geunine parts i could use?

-Also where can i get new window seals from, because its got a right annoying rattle from the window, maybe something to do with the ride height but i carnt sacrifise ride height for comfort.

-The golfs got a sunroof on it and iv had the same problem on a mk2 golf before when i go to close the sunroof fully theres a piece of it which is obviously part of the mechanisms of the sunroof and i have to hold it down so itl close properly its sort of spring loaded, i can get photos, whats the crack with this?

And does anyone have any info on my golf, i think its been round a while
PRP 236Y
Fitted with a 1.8 16v engine from a corrado im told.

1. no thats normal, probably just needs some attention to the glass holder or the window regulator

2. try crazyquiffs, big boys toys, ebay etc

3. these are the wind deflector arms, one per side and still available from vw. do see them on ebay but check vw first as a lot of sellers put them up for more money than vw sell for ;)
