feul and temp gage

the fuel gage and temp gage on my mk1 gti convertable dont work meaning they dont move at all
any suggestions appreciated

have a look at the wiring guide in electrical n find the right wires at the clocks plug n put a meter on them , is where i'd start

thanx for that i will check that tomorrow,if not that what else would you suggest?
