External fuel pump problem!!!!!!!

Hi all, it seems I have yet another problem with the electrics on my cabriolet gti . This time the external fuel pump is inactive but the lift up in tank pump works. Has any one had this problem????? it seams theirs no live going to the pump just like my rear fog light has no power but the fuse (no 5) is ok and the relay (no2) is switching for the in tank pump. Does this relay also control the external pump??? Iv tested the pump off the battery and its fine. NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!

fuel pump relay should run both pumps, if it doesnt then you could have a faulty fusebox, bad fuse or a bad relay. it may also be the fuel pump is drawing too much current, or one of the wires is damaged between the main pump and the rear wiring loom
