I've just done this on mine mate, I replaced aftermarket units for the original kit.

There's not that many wires to connect up on the loom. There's a fat red wire that connects to the back of the fusebox on the spare spades in location P:

There should be a narrow black wire that goes to Pin 15 in location D on the image above and over on that side there's also an earth wire that connects to the crown of earths up by the fusebox.

Then there's 2 more earths next to the control unit (black box) that earth to the body (I drilled a small hole in the box section and used a self tapper). This mounts up under the dash on the drivers side ( I used double sided foam tape to mount the control unit so to avoid drilling through the bulkhead into the rain tray):

The other connections are just to the switches and motors. :thumbs:I'd recommend removing the dash to do this job, then you can run the loom across the bottom of the screen, clipping it in with the dash loom.

Hope that helps!

Sorry mate, only just seen your reply.

What's your loom out of? It sounds like it might be a Corrado loom that you've got and they're slightly different to the original mk1 cabby loom.

The Cabby loom only has 2 x 6 pin sockets for the switches and two 2 pin sockets that connect to the motors.

Corrado's have 3 switches, 2 on the drivers side for both windows and then 1 on the passenger side for the passenger to control their window independently. If you have a Corrado loom just use the 2 drivers switches and tape up the passenger single one.

Can you take any pics?

I also forgot to mention one more wire on my previous post, it's a thin brown wire and should have a spade connector on the end, this connects to the back of the door switch for the interior light. Use a piggy back connector for that.

If you look at the picture above of the black control box you can see the connectors on that, have you get them all plugged in?
