electric window switchs

hi there,
was wondering if i could get some help with my electric windows, these were in my car when i got it but there not working properly.
they go up when you push up, but to meke them go down you have to pull the switch out and pull the red and brown wires off and put red where brown goes, put up with it for a while but its starting to get on mi tits!

also, they arent wired to the ignition, so have power all the time, not sure if this is right or not? the windows move very slowly as if there's not enough power for them.  :dontknow:

try swapping the actual switches over if it happens on the other side its the switch thats faulty so it will need replacing.
have you lubricated the motor? plus if the switch is faulty or dirty you could have bad contact. Also check that everything is earthed properly.

Finally get some sillicone spray from the motor factors and give the window channels a squirt, the bit the glass slides up and down that guides it, could be these are dry and maybe a bit dirty, so give em a wipe down.

I have the exact same problem, the window goes up and down but you have to swap the wires around every time, did you manage to get it sorted, if so, how?
