electric roof

Is it possible to by pass the ignition switch and wir a feed to the roof operating switch direct,

I am havinfg loads of problems with the ignition switch , it doesnt seem to make contact every time when i push it in to operate roof.

I'm sure there's a way but couldn't you just remove the panel and clean the contacts with some electrical contact cleaner? Failing that have a look around at the ads and you may find a replacement.
